Biology : Much-branched aromatic shrub, small tree or liane, 1,8-9 m.
Ecology : Thickets, bushland and dry rather scrubby forest; wetter evergreen forest or woodland, predominantly coastal; 0-810 m alt. (E Africa); also forest margins and clearings, 0-750 m alt. (Fl. Zambes. area). Very variable. Madagascar.
