Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Annual or short-lived perennial herb; stems prostrate or ascending, 15-60 cm long, ± pubescent; corolla yellow, 2-3 mm long; pod with a single coil, unarmed, 1-seeded, c. 3 mm Ø.
Ecology : Upland grassland, especially on disturbed ground or in cultivations; 1600-2060 m alt. (Somalia); 900-2850 m (Ethiopia, probably introduced).
  Europe, N Africa, temperate Asia (from 33°-60° nothern latitude). - Introduced in other temperate regions as well as E. Africa.
