Biology : Erect subshrub, with several unbranched or branched stems 0,6-1,8 m tall, from a tuberous rootstock; branches slender but woody, leafy, velvety ferrugineous hairy when young, later glabrescent.
Ecology : Grassland, bushland; forest edges; rocky hillslopes; 1050-2070 m alt.
