Trop. Afr.
Biology : Small shrub to 1,5 m tall (subsp. habeclada), or large thicket-forming shrub or small tree to 3 m tall.
Ecology : Sandy river banks and islands, sometimes growing semi-submerged on island banks or alluvium, 760-1190 m alt. restricted to the Zambezi River above Victoria Talls).
