Biology : Large tree, unarmed; young branchlets angular; leaves phyllodic, simple; flowers pale yellowish to white in heads; pods oblong, falcate, coiled or spirally twisted, not constricted between the seeds, dehiscent.
Ecology : Native of SE Australia, Tasmania.
  Grown for montane reafforestation (timber); becoming an element of indigenous forests in NE-SE Africa.
