Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Unarmed shrub or tree to 10 m tall; leaves phyllodic, simple; flowers bright yellow in heads; pods ± straight, margins slightly constricted between some of the seeds.
Ecology : Native of Australia.
  Introduced to medium and higher altitudes for reafforestation in NE Africa. Seeds also used (floor, animal feed concentrates).
