Biology : Shrub to 3-4 m tall; young branchlets conspicuously lenticellate, glabrous; stipules spinescent, ± straight, 1-2 cm long; leaves small, 2 pairs of pinnae, the lower one much shorter than the upper, few pairs of leaflets per pinna;
Ecology : Dry bushland, locally frequent (Ethiopia); Acacia-Commiphora bushland on sand (Somalia); 150-400 m alt.
