Trop. Afr.
Biology : Annual or short - lived perennial herb 0,2 - 1, 5 m tall; stems rusty hirsute, the longer hairs often to 2 mm long.
Ecology : Grassland; swamps; river banks; lateritic and clayey soils; woodland; cultivations; footpath sides; disturbed places; 800 (and probably less - 1800 m alt). Very common in Zaire.
