Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Prostrate or ascending annual or short-lived parennial herb 45-60 cm tall, with grey-silky sparse and appressed or dense and spreading indumentum, dichotomously branched from the base; branches firm.
Ecology : Acacia, Commiphora woodland or bushland; a weed of cultivation; dunes; rocky slope over an aguelman; scree over a deeply embanked wadi and guelta; 400-1500 m alt.
  Greatest variability in NE tropical Africa (indumentum, and size, number and shape of the leaflets: from a young plant with the first learf often 1-foliolate and the next ones few-foliolate, to an adult plant with 13-foliolate leaves).
  Known from scattered localities in dry areas: Cape Verde Islands to Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Socotra, W Pakistan, Burma (a single specimen), India (Rajasthan); Madagascar (collected twice).
  Confused with T. uniflora.
