Biology : Annual or perennial trailing or climbing herb 0,3-3 m long; stem densely covered with retrorse or spreading yellowish-brown hairs.
Ecology : Imundated places; hollows; edge of forest; grassland; woodland; grassy woods; miombo woodland; rocky and sandy places; savanna; termite mounds; also as a weed: fallow land, cultivations; 0-2400 m alt.
  Not collected in Ethiopia since the 1840's.
