Biology : Stems numerous, prostrate, radiating from a slender branched perennial rootstock, forming mats, 10-30 cm long, slender, pubescent to pilose.
Ecology : Ecology unknown in Zambabwe (probably short grassland above 1800 m alt.).
  S. Africa (subsp. decumbens).
