Biology : Branched erect or low growing subshrubby herb (0,2-)0,3-1,2(-2,4) m tall; branches ± triangular, leafy, covered with long spreading and also some shorter hairs.

Ecology : Grassland; grassland with scattered trees often seasonally burnt; at edges of coconut plantations; scrub on coral and sandy soils; sandy soil in savanna; marigot edges; moist places in savanna (grassy and wooded); waste places; clearings; etc...
  Very variable.
  Not in Zambia; nor Madagascar, Mascarenes.
