Biology : Dwarf perennial herb with decumbent, ascending or suberect, tenacious stems becoming woody at the base, 7,5-15 cm long, tawny, softly and shortly pubescent, branched.
Ecology : Not uncommon in sandy sparingly grassy situations at stream banks.
  Allied to E. procumbens Benth. ex Bak. f., a common herb in Madagascar. Is perhaps a synonym under E. rhynchosioides.
