Ecology : Woodland; Acacia-Combretum bushland; wooded grassland and bushland; frequently on termite mounds; stony thickets at the skirts of primitive woods; exposed stony parts of open mixed wood with Protea sandy woods with Tounatea madagascariensis , etc...
  The hybrid C. petersiana x C. singueana has been recorded.
