Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Tree 3-18 m, with rounded or spreading crown; bole 6-7 m tall, 0,4-0,5(-1) m Ø, often hollow.
Ecology : Deciduous woodland; savanna; gregarious, usually on stony ground; often mixed with I. doka; dismantled hard-pan; open forest on clayey soil; 610 (?and less)-1850 m alt.
  Sometimes not separated from I. angolensis.
