Trop. Afr.
Biology : Bushy tree 4-12 m tall or shrub 1-3 m, with rounded or irregular crown; bark rough, grey to dark-brown; branchlets pubescent, glabrescent or tomentose with reddish-brown bark, becoming blackish.
Ecology : Dry open woodland and bushland; often on deep Kalahari sand; ± 800-1200 m alt.
  Caprivi Strip, Namibia, Botswana.
