Biology : Tree (rarely shrub) 5-13(-20) m high by 60 cm girth.
Ecology : Wooded grassland, often co-dominant; Brachystegia woodland; dry forest of Leguminosae and Anogeissus; ironstone woodland; miombo-woodland; 140-2170 m alt. Not in Ethiopia (or in the SW?).
