Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Perennial herb 10-60(-80) cm tall, with a simple erect or few branches; base, fruit and seed unknown. and fibrous roots.
Ecology : Moist, shaded or exposed places, particularly in grassland, bushland, marshy ground, along road- and riversides; occasionally in open Brachystegia woodland and ravines; 840-2600 m alt. Extremely variable.
