Biology : Annual herb; stems erect 10-80 cm tall.
Ecology : Clearings in upland forest; 2000-2400 m alt. (E Africa); glades in Juniperus forest; grassy slopes (Somalia). Mediterranean region, Macaronesia, Near East, Arabia, Iran, Pakistan; Socotra.
