Biology : Tree or scandent shrub, 1,5-9 m tall; stems and older branches reddish- or greyish-brown, glabrous, with many lenticels; young branches terete or sometimes weakly 4-angled, densely pubescent.
Ecology : Dry scrub or dry woodland, often in river valleys; coastal scrub; Colophospernum mopane woodland. 0-1300 m alt.
