Trop. Afr.
Biology : Tree (12-)25-35(-40) m, with cylindrical bole 1 m ?and with angular branches and spreading heavy crown.
Ecology : Dense rain-, secondary, riverine and swamp forest; on granitic soil; 200-1250 m alt. – Also cultivated (“Bitter kola”).
