Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Erect, annual herb to 2 m tall, with bristles with a swollen base; not prickly.
Ecology : Roadside weed; old cultivations; open and mixed grassland savanna; dense bush and woodland; secondary thickets (Welwitsch 5242). Caprivi Strip, Botswana, Namibia, S. Africa; possibly adventive in India. – Not in Zaire.
