Biology : Erect woody annual herb or sometimes perennial herb or subshrub 0,5-1,5 m tall.
Ecology : Weed of cultivations; roadside in Combretum woodland; savanna, edges of forest vegetation; fallow land; roadsides; often in sandy soils; also ruderal; near sea-level-1700 m alt. S. Africa, Namibia, Botswana. – Pantropical (probably originating from Asia).
