Biology : Subshrub or soft-stemmed shrub to ±1,25 m tall.
Ecology : Mountain slopes among scrub and tall herbs on forest edges and clearings; 1160 m alt. S. Africa. Closely resembling S. cordifolia but with quite different mericarps, and also distinct in its ecology.
