Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Shrub to 1,6 m tall, with numerous simple stems, 7 mm , from a thick rootstock; leaves crowded along the stems, in particular below the flower-heads (not opening symmetrically!).
Ecology : Coarse grassland with scattered shrubs of Philippia, Protea gazensis; c. 2000 m alt. Only known from (Zimbabwe) Chingamwe Plateau (collected in 1954) and W slope of Inyangani Mts. (collected 1956 and 1993). Rare and endangered.
