Ecology : In desert environment on a wide variety of soils; glades of degraded Juniperus forest; below sealevel to 2000 m alt. Namibia; Canary Isl., N Africa, Libya, Egypt; Middle East to Pakistan and NW India; U.S.A., Mexico.
