Trop. Afr.
Biology : Stoloniferous, silky-white herb with primary leaf rosette and long stolons rooting at nodes and producing secondary rosettes; side roots thick and furrowed.
Ecology : Upland grassland, hillsides, river-banks, locally common; moist ground in grazed montane grassland; drier mountain areas, particularly in damp places; 1800-4000 m alt.
  Very variable in leaf dissection and pubescence.
