Biology : Shrub with slender branchlets; leaves alternate, simple, ovate, 10-15x7-8 cm, margins crenate in upper half; spines axillary, slender, 2-5 cm long; flowers 3-8 in short axillary umbel-like cymes, with persistent bracts; stamens 8-10, free; fruit unknown.
Ecology : Forest.
  Near A. mangenotii. Known only from the type collected in 1949 (Bégué s. n.).
