Biology : Small subshrub with numerous slender, glabrous, erect, much-branched, striate stems c. 15 cm tall; leaves many, subulate, spreading, 1 cm long, with white tips; fruit globose with prominent longitudinal ribs and reticulate cross veins.
Ecology : Ecology unknown. .
  Known only from the type collected in 1882. In habit similar to T. squarrosum L. f. from S. Africa, and to T. equisetoides
