Ecology : Steep bank above stream among tall grass on yellow soil.
  Known only from the type collected in 1955, first determined as T. bangweolense (a perennial herb with stout caudex).Related to T. fimbriatum but differs in smaller floral bracts, perianth and fruit, and sparsely (not densely) fringed perianth lobes.
