Ecology : Seasonally damp grassland.
  Similar to T.bangweolense,T.myriocladum,T.fastigiatum,T.atrum,T.fanshawei,T.unyikense,T.bequaertii,T.thamnus,in having stolons that bear a few crowded,very short,densely scaly vegetative buds.Also similar to T.katangense.Only known from the type (1965).
