Biology : Shrub with reddish-brown rounded branchlets, c. 3 mm Ø, puberulous when young; leaves 3-foliolate, 15-24 cm long; leaflets shiny on both surfaces, reddish above, brown below and with small domatia, ± glabrous, ± equal, entire.

Ecology : Primary forest.
  Resembling A. talbotii, A. sapinii.
  Known from the type collected in 1904 (Zenker 3161, Cameroun: Bipinde), and from Ivory Coast (Chevalier 1524) but not cited in Fl. W. Trop. Afr., ed. 2, 1/2: 713-714, 1958, or by Aké Assi (Fl. Côte-d’Iv. 2: 117, 2002).
