Biology : Shrub branched from the base, c. 2,5 m tall; branchlets glabrous; leaves 3-foliolate, glabrous, shining; flowers white in densely-flowered branched racemes, rhachis pubescent; fruits reddish brown, round, c. 6 mm Ø.
Ecology : Swampy situations among bog ferns; riverine and moist forests; ?-750-1000 m alt.
  Not synonymous with A. dummeri (fide Verdcourt, Fl. Trop. E. Afr., Sapindaceae: 80, 1998).
