Biology : Shrub or tree; leaves 3-foliolate, glabrous, 30-35 cm long; petiole long (c. 15 cm), brown pilose; leaflets 16-17x6-8 cm; flowers dense in branched inflorescences shorter than leaf petioles; fruit unknown.
Ecology : Rain-forest, forest clearings, riversides.
  Seems to be only an extreme form of A. africanus or perhaps a juvenile form of it (fide Leenhouts in Blumea 15: 337-338, 1967). Not cited in Fl. Cameroun 16, 1973.
