Biology : Tree, much branched, to 9 m; branchlets pale grey-brown, ± pubescent, glabrescent; leaves simple, thin, drying brown, 6,5-12,5x2,5-6 cm, without hairy domatia beneath; flowers greenish white in unbranched inflorescences 4-7 cm long.

Ecology : Evergreen rain-forest with Ocotea, Cephalosphaera; not very common; 1050 m alt.
  Resembling A. melliodorus, but without leaf domatia.
  Only in the E. Usambaras, Tanzania (T3). Not seen since 1932 (fide Fl. Trop. E. Afr., Sapindaceae: 94, 1998). Known from the type collected in 1932, and a specimen (Grote) seen by E. G. Baker at B.
