Biology : Erect shrub or tree 0,3-5 m tall; twigs 5 mm Ø, densely lenticellate, slightly grey-downy or glabrous; leaves 20-30 cm long (petiole 8-10 cm).

Ecology : Coastal grass savanna; sandy laterite soils; forest, especially secondary forest, savanna/forest edges and gaps in forest; old farms; teak plantations; weedy; 400-1300(-1818) m alt.
  Resembling D. molliuscula but pubescence rough to touch (not soft).
