Biology : Shrub 2-5 m tall or tree 4-25 m, palm-shaped; trunk 4-5 cm Ø; leaves c. 75 cm long with finely striate petiole and rhachis; leaflets in 3-5(-7) pairs, glabrous, discolorous when dry (reddish beneath), long-acuminate.
