Biology : Tree or shrub; leaves c. 60 cm long, with 6 pairs of leaflets; petiole, rhachis and nerves of leaflets densely golden hairy; leaflets acuminate at apex; inflorescences 15-20 cm long, axis striate, ± velvety and glandular.

Ecology : Ecology unknown.
  Related to C. setosus but hairs more golden yellow; in number of stamens more similar to C. talbotii. Fouilloy & N. Hallé, compare this plant with C. macrobotrys as regards flower and inflorescence morphology, but leaves very different.
  Known only from the type (Le Testu 8606) collected in 1930/1931.
