Biology : Shrub 1-3 m tall; leaves ± glabrous, 20-56 cm long, leaflets thin, 2-5 pairs with asymmetric base, gland dots near (not at) the margins; flowers pubescent in 6-30 cm long spikes, rachis ferrugineous pubescent; fruits glabrous, reticulate, 7-10 mm long.
Ecology : Rain-forest, in shade, in understorey. 650-1400 m alt.
