Ecology : Open Brachystegia forest, secondary savanna, stony places, roadsides, cultivated ground on small granite outcrops with shallow soil patches (rock mats); wet vlei at foot of granite kopjes, fissures of rocks, sandy soil, etc.; 50-1440 m alt.
