Biologie : Epiphytic herb; pseudobulbs 1-leafed, ovoid, 3-angled, to 1,4x0,7 cm, pendulous, spaced on creeping rhizome and covered by a fibrous sheath from the latter; leaf pendulous, petiolate (to 1,3 cm long), blade linear, V-shaped in cross section, fleshy, to 15,3x0,7 cm; inflorescence to 57,5 cm long, pendulous, from base of pseudobulb; peduncle 38 cm long with 5 membranous scales; rachis 19,5 cm long, flattened, puberulous, to 31-flowered; flowers yellow-green spotted brown-purple, opening successively, only 2 open together; sepals triangular, 6,5-7x2-2,2 mm, strongly reflexed, puberulous outside, margins with purple hairs 1 mm long; petals triangular, 3x0,5 mm, not reflexed, glabrous; lip linear, 6,3 mm long, entire, base thickened with 2 ridges above, margins with velvety hairs becoming long (4 mm) towards lip apex, lip articulated with base of column.
Ecologie : Humid forest; c. 200 m alt.
  Described in comparison with B. saltatorium.
  Known from only 2 collections from Gabon, Monts de Cristal; type collected in 2009. Two specimens are being grown at Libreville. "it is likely that this species is also present... in Equatorial Guinea".
