Biologie : Epiphytic herb to 4 -9 cm tall with a woody rhizome; pseudobulbs 1-2,5 cm apart, 2-leaved, ovoid-oblong, 0,6-1,5x0,5 cm, 4-angled, often tinged with purple; leaves spreading, elliptic, 0,7-2,5x0,4-0,7 cm, leathery, apex 2-lobed; inflorescence from base of pseudobulb, 3-9 cm long, 3-12-flowered; rachis zigzag; bracts ovate, acute, thin, 1-1,7 mm long; flowers sessile, creamy white with yellow patches on lip, non-resupinate, not fully open; sepals lanceolate-triangular, 2,5-4,5x1-2 mm; petals rudimentary; lip tongue-like, fleshy, 2,5-3,5x1-1,3 mm, obscurely 3-lobed, side lobes erect and small, mid-lobe papillose with apex recurved, “lip small, narrow and ends in 2 horn-like processes with a small round green callus between them” (Piers, o.c.: 148); spur conical-saccate, 2-2,5 mm long, blunt.
Ecologie : Rain-forest; wet forest; dry forest; mangrove swamp, on branches of Rhizophora, Syzygium guineense, Manilkara sp.; forming large patches on thick branches of tall trees; 1-1400 m alt.
