Biologie : |
Terrestrial herb, sometimes growing in dense clumps, 30-50 cm tall; tubers subterranean, in a chain; leaves c. 5 in a tuft, just appearing at anthesis, linear, to 25x1,6 cm; inflorescence peduncle with c. 4 loose sheaths; rachis 8-15 cm long, 5-30-flowered; bracts c. 12 mm long; flowers brown or greenish, heavily veined with purple (sepals), petals and lip yellow, purple-veined; pedicel and ovary c. 15 mm long; sepals obovate-oblong, 14-16x4-5,5 mm; petals obovate, 12-18x6-8 mm; lip 16-18 mm long, 3-lobed, with several ridges down the centre; side lobes quadrate; mid-lobe 4 mm wide, ± emarginate; spur 3-5 mm long, conical to cylindrical. |
