Biologie : Perennial glabrous herb with long creeping stems rooting at nodes, 10-40 cm long.
Ecologie : Cultivated for fodder and naturalized in many temperate regions. Widespread in Eurasia; also in N Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, E Africa, S. Africa.
