Botanica - the rise of invasive neophytes

Botanica - The rise of invasive neophytes

Exotic and new plants have been introduced throughout the world since the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus more than 500 years ago.

We were happy to display the BOTANICA exhibition centered around these invasive neophytes which benefit from the advantageous conditions brought forward by climate change to pursue their massive spread thus causing environmental, economic or health problems.

Visitors were able to discover the features and strategies these plants have developed to become formidable adversaries in nature and the measures undertaken to deal with them.
