Conservatoire et Jardin botaniques de la Ville de Genève
The Botalista Association is born!
The Botanical Gardens of Geneva, Bern and Bordeaux came together virtually on September 30th 2020 to officially create the Botalista Association.
This joint initiative will promote and manage the patrimonial, educational and scientific collections of botanical gardens on a European scale, thanks to a new online collaborative "open source" platform, named Botalista.community.
The Botalista Association will also offer its services to institutions that neither have the infrastructure nor the IT skills necessary for the deployment and maintenance of the Botalista.community software, in particular through an appropriate subscription policy. All new developments made by the association's IT teams, but also those carried out by member institutions, will be made available to the Botalista community.
