Public visits

The herbarium is not open to the general public. Nevertheless, group visits are organized a number of times per year, in the context of public open days.

Scientific visitors

Opening hours. The herbarium is open to visiting scientists from Monday to Friday, from 8h to 5h. Visitors are requested to announce their intended visit at least one month in advance.

Studio apartments for visitors (Uniquely scientists)

Two studios (one with a single bed and one with two beds) can be rented to scientists wishing to work for a few days in either the herbarium or the library.
The price is 60 CHf per night, and per person or 100 CHf for two in the same studio. These studios have a simple kitchenette. Sheets and towels are provided.
A deposit of 50 CHf is requested upon arrival, and this will be returned once the room/s have been checked and the key/s returned.
Please take note of the opening hours of the Institution, either for obtaining the key to a studio (at the reception), or for working in the herbarium or the library. In principle, it is not possible to take possession of a studio during weekends or holidays.
Requests for reservations should be addressed by E-mail, by letter or by fax, to the address of the Institution.
