It was in 1901 that the Missions Museum of Geneva disappeared, transferring its collection to the municipal ethnographic collections. Since its creation in 1876, this private museum had built its identity on photographs and objects brought back by missionary pastors, sent to the four corners of the world by the Paris Evangelical Missionary Society. 848 objects were thus numbered and listed by donor’s name and acquisition date in an inventory register with “ethnographic notes”.
