Biology : Shrub or tree, 0,6-8(-11) m tall, usually much-branched and gnarled, or occasionally a dwarf creeping shrublet only 15 cm high; bark grey rough, reticulate and flaking; nodes rather thickened with conspicuous leaf-scars; leaves almost whorled, fleshy.
