Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Much-branched tree, to 10 m; trunk stout.
Ecology : Drier woodlands and bush, sometimes on termite-mounds. Caprivi Strip, Namibia, Botswana, S. Africa (a specimen estimated ±400 years old is present in the Richtersveld National Park, fide G. Williamson in Aloe 37/4: 86, 2000).
